The intention was to initiate a new approach and concept for an institute for cybernetic aesthetics together with an attached studio and a museum for computer arts. The concept envisages free standing pavilions for a laboratory, offices, and studios which share a common footbridge. The institute itself has the largest structure and also comprises the museum spaces. An extension of this complex through the addition of further pavilions was also planned. The main design criteria was to take advantage of the beautiful view of the Neusiedlersee lake. Accordingly, in order to frame the landscape, the southern corner of the museum building is fully glazed. The energy from the solar radiation is used by translucent photo-voltaic panels which prevent overheating. The project was developed within the former practice “Arge Reinberg, Trebersburg, Raith” but was not executed.
